My friend has spent 26 years as a nurse, dedicating her life to saving others and making sure everyone around her had what they needed. When COVID first hit, she was one of the first to deploy with FEMA and federal contracts, working tirelessly in COVID units. She’s always been the person to drop everything for anyone in need, never asking for help herself—only giving.

Recently, her world turned upside down. She quit her job to care for two ill relatives in their 70s, saving their lives multiple times by making critical decisions and acting as a live-in nurse for two years without pay. During this time, she fell behind financially, lost her new car, and her driver’s license expired. She’s also been going through a divorce, and her spouse took her marriage license and birth certificate, leaving her unable to renew her license to be able to go back to work But worst of all her 15-year-old now has been diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. He has a tumor behind his sinusus pushing on the base of his skull and receiving chemo. Unfortunately he has to have injections every 14 days to survive to at least see another day but they are $838 an injection INSURANCE WILL NOT COVER THEM!

She’s given everything to help others, but now she’s at a point where she needs help herself.
