​Our father dedicated 35 years of his life to serving this country. From the jungles of Vietnam, where he was exposed to Agent Orange, to a lifelong commitment to the military, he lived by a code of honor, duty, and sacrifice. He was our hero, our rock, and our guiding light—a man who gave everything to his nation and his family.

​Now, after a lifetime of service, we find ourselves facing an unthinkable burden. Following his passing, we turned to the Veterans Administration for the support promised to those who served so long and so bravely. Despite his decades of dedication, the VA has denied most coverage for his funeral expenses.

​This denial has left our family with a crushing financial weight that will take years to overcome. It is a heartbreak compounded by the feeling that, in his final hour, the country he served for over three decades has turned its back on him.
