Hi friends,
This isn’t easy for me to share, but I believe in being honest—and sometimes, honesty looks like saying I’m not okay right now.
As a full-time teacher and a single mother of two, I pour my heart into nurturing young minds and raising my children with love, strength, and everything I’ve got. But what many people don’t see is the reality behind the scenes: teachers don’t get paid during the summer.
Right now, I’m behind on my mortgage. The bills are piling up. Groceries are a constant worry. I’m doing everything I can to stay strong, but the weight is real. And it’s heavy.
I never imagined I’d be in a place where I’d have to ask for help so openly, but here I am—doing it anyway because I know that sometimes, love comes in the form of community.
If you’re able to support in any way—whether it’s $5, $10, or simply sharing this post—it would make a difference. Not just for me, but for my kids who depend on me, and for the students who will walk into my classroom in the fall hoping for someone who hasn’t given up.
Thank you for reading. For caring. For holding space for a mother, a teacher, and a woman who just needs a little help to keep going.
With love and humility
