My name is Victoria Pogue, RDH, BSDH, and for the past 15 years I’ve had the privilege of serving in the field of dentistry — the last nine dedicated to periodontal disease and community health.
Untreated gum disease is linked to heart disease, diabetes, stroke, pneumonia, Alzheimer’s, and more. For seniors, disabled, and homebound adults, these risks grow when care is out of reach — Aurora brings that care back home.
Across Aurora’s seven-county region in Wisconsin, an estimated 45,000–60,000 residents — including older adults, disabled, hospice, and homebound individuals — face barriers to even the most basic dental care.
These are our neighbors, parents, and grandparents — people who’ve spent lifetimes building our communities. They deserve access to care, comfort, and dignity.
That’s why I started Aurora Dental Hygiene, Inc. — a charitable mobile dental hygiene unit devoted to bringing preventive and therapeutic oral care directly to those who need it most. Using portable dental equipment, Aurora will travel to nursing homes, community centers, hospice programs, and rural households, providing healing through evidence-based care.
