After Joyce lost Steve and her step grand son in January, she had a stroke. After the stroke, she had to have surgery on her artery in her neck which ended up infected. Took her to a hospital twice that week and ended up going to a different hospital where she was kept for 2 weeks fighting for her life while infection took over her bloodstream. She is now home with an open incision which takes guaze, sodium, gloves of course and sterile qtips with making daily 80 minute round trips to the hospital to get antibiotics. She does not have insurance so has been paying out of pocket for the care she has to have. If you can’t give, would you please send up prayers for her!! She still has atleast Until April 14th to make the daily trips which are costly when you’re not able to work and pay for the dr appointments (surgeon, infectious dr, primary care and 2 eye drs).
