Who will benefit?
This support will directly benefit me, a Black Canadian woman living with chronic pain, as I navigate an urgent need for safe housing and shelter. Your assistance will also indirectly help others in similar situations by allowing me to stabilize my life, continue pursuing sustainable work, and ultimately give back to my community through advocacy and mentorship.

How will the funds be used?
The funds will be used for immediate housing needs, transportation to return to Ontario from the West Coast, and accessing essential programs such as COHB. This support will create a foundation for stable living and allow me to focus on achieving financial independence.

How soon are the funds needed?
The funds are needed urgently, as my current situation is unsafe and unsustainable. Any immediate help will make a significant difference in my ability to access shelter and work toward a stable future.

What will this support mean?
This support will mean a chance to break the cycle of debt and unsafe environments that have kept me from thriving. It would give me the stability needed to continue bettering myself, securing meaningful work, and living a life free from dependence on people who exploit my circumstances. It would also empower me to help others in similar situations in the future.
