We are asking for kindness from strangers in hopes of easing the worry of soon-to-be first time parents Makayla and Alex.  Makayla was born with Spina Bifida and against all odds has managed a mostly normal life in spite of a dozen surgeries and countless doctor visits. For years, she has held a job as a daycare teacher. Now that she is carrying her own child, life has become more difficult. She became ill soon after becoming pregnant with constant vomiting and near septic bladder infections that has put her in hospital for days. She had to leave her job due to the complications as well as often traveling far from home due to requiring specialists to monitor her and the baby. Due to the spina bifida she has two ports in her stomach for bowel and urinary reasons. As the baby grows, more complications will likely arise. Good news is that the baby does not have spina bifida and is currently perfectly healthy. This will be her only pregnancy per advice from her doctors that the danger is too great for her. Daddy-to-be had to leave his job that required him being away from home on weekdays. He took another job close to home that pays substantially less so that he can be available. The loss of income has left them barely able to keep up with rent and bills leaving nothing extra to purchase items needed for the baby. As the pregnancy progresses, it will become more difficult and we pray that all will be well.  We have created and shared baby registries and have had no luck. I will post them here as well as paypal, venmo, and cashapp links in hopes that this reaches those who can or are willing to help this young couple have an easier transistion into parenthood.  Both parents are 26 yrs old and, my first grandson, baby Wyatt is due July 22, 2026.
