In June 2024 I was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia, a rare form of AML. Since then I've been battling through treatments on my way to remission. The good thing, the leukemia I have is very responsive to treatment and I'll likely see a cure. The bad, the hospital bills are so massive that I don't know how we will ever recover financially. 

I had health insurance from my job, butI haven't been able to work since my diagnosis. And the out of pocket health insurance costs are massive. The insurance is decent, but it doesn't come close to covering the cost of fighting this. Not being able to work through my treatments and recovery has made all of the financial burden fall on my husband who is a farmer and is facing his own hardships in our economy. Between emergency room visits, scans, lab work, life flight to a larger hospital, and daily chemotherapy treatments we are struggling. 

I will be able to return to work in September so things will get better, but until then we need some help just to get by. I'm going to keep smiling and fighting because there isn't another choice for me. I will get through this, for myself, my husband and my children. Any help is appreciated.
