My family has always been a "raise yourself by the bootstraps" style family. We all take pride in what we accomplish through hard work and determination. However, that is not enough to avoid tragedy and pain. I write this plea for support for my daughter, who has worked so hard to raise and support her children, and her husband, Douglas Neller; who has loved and supported her throughout their marriage. Doug, as most call him, loves Harley motorcycles, mechanics, and outdoorsmanship. He worked as a trucker until early May of 2024, when he suffered a stroke while trying to take his truck for maintenance. He was found in the wreckage of his truck, paralyzed on one side, unable to breathe, eat, or talk on his own. We were told he would never recover enough to come home. But my daughter loved and believed in him, and he did not take his new chance for granted. He has gone past expectations and is now at home, recovering as best he can. What he truly needs is to have the freedom to escape the confines of the house itself and rejoin us all. He deserves the ability to experience things as everyone else does; as he once did. So we ask the people of the world to please donate to helping my daughter to be able to take her husband out of the house once again, in hopes that this will aid in his recovery.
