Hello, my name is Marie, and I am raising funds for my mother during one of the most difficult moments our family has ever faced.

On November 25, 2025, my mother suffered an ischemic stroke while in Puerto Rico. Unfortunately, her condition was misdiagnosed, and just three to four days later, she suffered a second stroke at home. This second stroke caused further damage and made her recovery much more complex.

I am her only daughter, and when I realized she was not receiving the care she urgently needed, I made the difficult decision to bring her with me to Texas at the beginning of December so she could receive proper medical treatment. Since then, she has spent over a month hospitalized, fighting to regain her strength and independence.

At this time, we do not know if she qualifies for any government or medical benefits, and we will not have answers until early February. Until then, all of her care is being paid out of pocket. These expenses include home health services, medical equipment, therapy, medications, and daily care needs.

The financial burden has been overwhelming, but my priority is ensuring my mother receives the care she needs to heal and recover. Any donation—no matter the amount—will go directly toward her medical care and essential equipment. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is just as meaningful.
