Chemotherapy has created complications with Izzy’s teeth.
I am going to attempt to raise funds for Izzy to get braces.
We applied through medicaid and were denied for any financial assistance. Chemotherapy damages fast growing oral cells which disrupt the nutrient supply which shortens or thins the roots of the teeth.
The tooth now needs to be surgically removed which will leave a tooth sized gap in the front of her mouth which will cause other teeth to shift and move.
I know most people will consider this cosmetic, but to Izzy it is a big deal, and will destroy her self confidence if I do not find a way to get her braces paid for.
I have been denied for care credit and any other options involving credit required loans.
I have called every orthodontic specialists in the state of Oklahoma to see if anyone offered less expensive braces but our options are limited as she requires a specialist and no one offers braces for less.
I have exhausted all avenues, I have asked family and friends for a loan that I can pay back monthly, and I contended the insurance decision denying Izzy coverage but that is not a battle that I am going to win.
Izzy needs this surgery as soon as possible but is terrified to have the tooth removed as the gap will be in the front of her smile. The tooth cannot be saved and the only way to bring her teeth back together is to pull them from the back, to close the gap.
I have added the percentage that will be deducted from withdrawing any donations.
I can provide the Orthodontist information as well as proof of the estimate required for Izzy to start this process.
Donations can be paid directly to the Orthodontic Specialists of Oklahoma if you call 405-292-4618 and give them Izzy's full name and DOB. (Izabelle Brothers, July 30, 2016)
I chose the GiveaHand platform as they take the least amount of money from funds raised.
I also have CashApp and can figure out other options to suit anyones needs.
