About this fundraiser

Dear Friends,

I'm reaching out to let you know that we are kicking off a campaign to help The Brandy Bunch, and we need your help!

You may have heard about Brandy and her daughter's recently on KATC, they are feeling the effects of our housing authority failing their community.

Brandy is so loved by many because she has a fierce spirit and inspires so many of her peers and others in our community to be their best. She often helps anyone in need, and gives even when she has nothing to give, sacrificing precious time she could be spending with her own family.

Brandy has been through hell and back in the last few years. Brandy is a natural caregiver and took care of her mother, whom they lost last year in a 5 year battle of health complications. Not long after, work started downsizing with lay-offs, due to the Covid pandemic. This also meant loosing her school funding. She persisted through many trials and kept her GPA high, with only one year left till her dreams of lifelong stability for her family were crushed. Followed by an eviction and loosing her vehice, kids school starting and having to result to homeschooling… The recent events in her life are devastating her family. Every shelter is full and the Section 8 wait-list is closed indefinitely, which leaves her with nowhere to turn. So here I am, having huge faith in my beloed home town. We turn to YOU, our wonderful community!

Our goal is to help her and her two daughters (9 & 12) with:

🔸Deposit and first months rent for a new living                space. ($2,000)Roughly

🔸Deposit for utilities.($250)

🔸Paying her U-Haul storage unit for

       two months. ($500)

🔸Getting her car out of the impound. ($600 +$30 a          day)

🔸Various vehicle maintenance. New tires. Alternator.        Oil change. Radiator ($1000)

🔸A cushion of hope to land on!

If you have any ideas, we are happy to hear them. Otherwise, please consider making as generous of a dontion as you can today to help her.

We have a $5,000 fundraising goal to bring stability back into her family's life.

Regards,

Angelle Huval
