About this fundraiser

Hi, my name is Heather, and I’m reaching out on behalf of someone who means the world to me—Bran.

Bran is a middle school science teacher, the kind who lights up a classroom and makes even the shyest students feel seen. This spring, his one-year teaching contract ended. On the last day of school, on his way to work, Bran suddenly began coughing up blood. He went to urgent care, then was rushed to the ER. That’s where they found a black spot on his tonsils.

From there, everything changed.

After a biopsy and PET scan, we learned it’s not just tonsil cancer—it has spread to his lymph nodes and is pressing on an artery. Surgery would require reconstruction of his throat and a tracheotomy. Because of how aggressive it is, doctors are recommending six weeks of chemotherapy and radiation, starting very soon.

Bran is also the primary caregiver for his mother, who is seriously ill. And with his teaching contract ended, his health benefits will expire in August. He has always taken care of others—with quiet strength and endless heart—and now he’s the one who needs help.

I’m asking, from the bottom of my heart, if you can give what you can. Your support will go toward:

  • Medical bills not covered by insurance
  • Treatments, scans, and appointments
  • Travel to and from care centers
  • Basic living expenses while he’s unable to work
  • Support for his mother’s care during his treatment

Bran is someone who doesn’t ask for help easily. He is kind, humble, and fiercely independent. But this fight is bigger than any one person can take on alone.

Every dollar, every share, every kind thought means more than I can say.

Thank you for helping Bran get the care and time he needs to heal.

With all my heart,

Heather
