February 8, 2022 I was diagnosed with DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ). I was 39. In the following March, 2022 I had a double mastectomy. Unfortunately, when diagnoses I was unemployed.  Thanking God that I at least had insurance through my husbands work at the time. Although I had insurance, the unexpected bills of the office visits, and surgery with follow ups has been overwhelming. And now, because I was unable to pay the ridiculously high payments that they requested, my medical bills have now gone into collections. I don’t know what to do. My family has helped some but they have helped all they can. Praying for a miracle!
