On February 18th, 2023 our lives changed forever. After laying Jersey down because she was sleeping.. . we later found out that at some point Jersey Kae suffered an anoxic brain injury as a result of her heart going into cardiac arrest due to a lack of oxygen to her brain. We were able to catch her before it became a full on case of SIDS.

Jersey was fighting for her life anywhere between 20-30 mins before we found her. The moment we found her I immediately began to perform CPR as best as I could. The paramedics pulled up minutes later and was able to get her a heart beat back within 10minutes. My sweet girl fought for around 45minutes and she is still with us fighting today! Shes so strong, I know that she WILL pull through!! Her injury is very severe & serious and the road to recovery is going to be substantially long. However, I know that God won’t let up off of her. He makes no mistakes. He chose the right parents for her.

We will make sure she receives every type of therapy out there. After some research and learning from others with similar experiences, we found out about Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). This therapy was founded by Dr. Harch & is VERY promising. What is it? HBOT is a medical therapy session (that isn’t covered by insurance) where you try to awaken the brain cells that were lost or damaged by administering high levels of up to 100% oxygen to the brain. This is vital to her healing of the brain because the air that we breathe in only made up of 21%. OXYGEN HEALS DAMAGED CELLS! This therapy is administered in a pressurized chamber and is non invasive. We figured this could be her start because the sooner we start her sessions the BETTER. Something interesting that we found out is that in other countries HBOT is the first response to brain injuries.

We are asking for donations to cover travel expenses, medical expenses, therapy expenses, shelter expenses and all other expenses related to Jersey Kae’s injury. We live in Indiana and will have to travel to New Orleans for the HBOT treatment. The treatment alone will be $10,000. This doesn’t include the consultation fee, assessment fee, or qEEG dosing(if needed) or the exit fee. Therefore, we are trying to raise $25,000 to help cover every expense coming our way.
