Hello, my name is Brian Vachon, I am 30 years old and currently live in Saco, Maine with my 3 children. As someone who hates asking for help, I tried to put this off as much as possible, but unfortunately, I have no other choices. On January 22nd, 2024, I was diagnosed with a herniated disc at the L5-S1, which has crushed my sciatic nerve root, causing severe pain down my left leg and lower back. Due to this injury, I can barely walk, and I am unable to stand or sit for long periods. Fortunately, I work for an outstanding company that has accommodated this injury. Around the middle of June, I was asked to step away from work as my injuries had gotten worse. On July 13th, 2024, I had a double study MRI on my neck and lower back. Due to significant strength loss on my left side, the surgeon believes there could be a separate underlying cause. Now, I am currently waiting for my microdisectomy surgery to repair my disc. Unfortunately, I have been denied by disability, and my return to work date is unknown. Now, I am finding it difficult to make ends meet and provide for my family as I am unable to work and now have medical bills piling up. I appreciate any help that can be given. Thank you, sincerely.
