About this fundraiser

This is Buddy. Our 11 year old baby. He may be a bit older due to the fact he was a stray before we adopted him from the Humane Society. We adopted him back in 2020 because we made an immediate connection with him. He's been inseparable from us since then. Even after we adopted our younger boy, Wairua.

He was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and it's gotten to a stage where he is needing extensive care beyond what my husband and I are honestly able to afford all at once. We dislike he thought of rehoming him knowing that we're his first home and we can't stomach the thought of him feeling torn away from his home. As much as we can just do what we can to keep him comfortable and care for him as best as we can, we can't fathom the thought of him being in pain. We don't want to ignore the care he deserves and it's very unexpected.

He's a sweet boy. Not a single guest has left our home without Buddy sharing his aloha with them. For a cat that uses to be a stray, we've loved on him so much that we believe he shares that with anyone that comes to visit. He's quiet (for the most part) and very laid back yet so hospitable for a cat. It's quite funny and charming, to say the least. We also believe that this isn't the end for him and we're trying our best outside of both of us working and going to school full time. I'm not too proud to admit when I need help. He's my “manamea", my "ku'uipo”, my sweetheart and I just want to continue giving him a chance at life I know he deserves.

Any contribution helps. I will post the the quotes given to us by the veterinarians that accounts for the amount I'm trying to raise. That way transparency is given.
