Hello

My name is Jack. I am a 48-year-old single father of 5 daughters. A little over a year ago I was diagnosed with cml leukemia which is a form of blood cancer.  I am currently doing chemotherapy in hopes to someday soon be in remission. I was hesitant to start any type of fundraiser at first because even though I was pretty sick daily from the medication I was able to push through it and keep working for about 9 months. In addition, I wasn't sure if I was worthy to ask. There are so many families in bad situations, situations far worse than mine, families with sick children that could really use help. It is honestly at the point now where this is my last option. I have been taken off work. I just felt too ill and had missed so many days that my doctor and employer convinced me that going off work was for the best. The copays, the missed work, the bills piling up and now behind on my rent have me feeling hopeless. I do not have a family with money. I do not have a lot of options for financial help. The late bills and payments have destroyed my credit and have me on the brink of eviction.  I have sold every toy or unnecessary possession to cover what I could.  If someone out there in a better situation could find it in their heart to help I would be forever grateful and promise I will pay it forward with every thing possible if and when my situation improves. If nothing else thank you for reading my story.
