About this fundraiser

Cold cots can help preserve the body of a newborn for days, allowing parents to bond with their baby, take pictures, and even take them home for walks. Some say that cold cots are invaluable and provide families with a gift of time.

As a mother who has lost two babies in the last year, I can say that these cold cots are necessary to help aid in bereavement and give families extra time with their baby. This extra time is precious.

When I stayed in the hospital with my little girl Autumn, the hospital did not have a cold cot available. My daughter was placed on ice from the pantry in a bassinet. This made her wet and made it more difficult to get that precious time with my baby.

I am raising funds for 2 cold cots for the hospital I stayed at which is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. This hospital has multiple neonatal deaths or stillbirths per week and this is something I believe is necessary in aiding the healing of bereaved families.

Thank you for helping grieving families spend the extra time needed with their precious loved one.

The CuddleCot:

One example of a cold cot is the CuddleCot, which is a portable cooling device that can fit inside a small cot and be used with any bed, bassinet, or cot. According to CuddleCot, the device is typically used for 3 to 5 days, but the decision should be made with the family and health professionals.
