About this fundraiser

Sometimes God places people in our path who remind us what love, courage, and faith really look like. That’s exactly how I felt when I met the Trinidad family — and their sweet 1½-year-old son, Wade.

Wade was diagnosed last November at just 6 months old, with 4H Leukodystrophy, a rare and aggressive terminal illness. His parents were told he may only have a few precious years — and yet, through every doctor’s appointment, hospital stay, and sleepless night, they continue to choose joy. They’ve held tight to their faith and to each other, determined to fill Wade’s life with love, laughter, and memories that matter.

For Wade’s parents, Disney has always been a special place — they’ve gone together every year since they met. Now, their greatest wish is to share that magic with Wade while he’s still strong enough to experience it. This November, they plan to take Wade on the trip of a lifetime to Walt Disney World, where he’ll get his very first haircut on Main Street, see the castle sparkle, and feel the joy and wonder that only Disney can bring.

Because of Wade’s medical needs, the trip will include two nurses to help manage his oxygen equipment and care. His family is doing everything they can — putting expenses on credit cards, stretching every dollar — but the costs of flights, park tickets, lodging, food, and nursing care are overwhelming. Wade’s dad is a local teacher in Comal ISD, and they can’t use his days off for vacations, since every one of them must be saved for medical emergencies.

That’s why we’re reaching out for help — not just to fund a trip, but to help create memories that this family will carry forever.
Every dollar given goes directly toward making Wade’s Disney adventure possible and ensuring that his parents can focus on love and laughter instead of logistics.

If you can, please consider donating or sharing their story.

Even the smallest bit of kindness adds up to something magical — and in this case, something eternal.
