I am a 65 year old Navy Veteran. More specifically a Naval Corpsman who honorably served my country from 1981-1987. I have a combined Naval & civilian healthcare career as a certified surgical technologist spanning now over 40 years. On September 11,2023 I suffered a right pontine (brain stem/pons) cerebrovascular ischemic stroke which has left me now with the inability to utilize my left leg. Two weeks of intense, strenuous occupational as well physical therapies have gotten me thus far to the point where I can begin outpatient rehabilitation therapy on a three day-a-week basis with a probable regained use of my left leg. Needless to say, the current out-of-pocket cost aside from what’s covered under my employer sponsored medical insurance has already exceeded $ 5,700.00 and is still climbing. I’m humbly seeking donations of any amount to assist in the off-setting of this dynamic & staggering cost. I am extremely grateful and am thanking you all in advance for whatever amount you wish to contribute.
