Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

I am reaching out in a time of deep need and vulnerability to ask for your support for my beloved husband of 34 years, who has been diagnosed with severe dementia. For the past three years, I have dedicated myself as his only caretaker, doing everything in my power to ensure he feels safe, loved, and cared for at home. Unfortunately, his condition has progressed to the point where I can no longer meet the complex medical and personal needs he requires each day.

The reality is that nursing home care is essential for his safety and well-being, but the cost is overwhelming. Our current funds simply do not cover the average expenses of a nursing home, while still allowing me to maintain basic living needs on less than $3,000 a month. This financial strain has left me feeling helpless.
