I am a 64 year young mentally disabled Mom who lost all my natural teeth 4 years ago due to a periodontal gum disease and acid reflux added to the bone loss.  It broke down my jawbone and each perfectly healthy tooth came loose and I lost them. One by one. It has been a nightmare as I’ve fought the Oregon Health Plan to cover my bone grafting and all on 4 procedure for the last 4 years. I have been through 5 pairs of dentures that didnt work. There is just too much bone loss. I now have been diagnosed with GERD, Asthma and shortness of breath with a chronic cough for the last 2 years. I stand 5’8 and at one point was down to 100 lbs. I now weigh 114. Much less than I should. My cholesterol is now extremely high as I can not chew and I continue to lose bone. so my diet is not healthy but I can eat very little. I have become a recluse as my dentures won’t even stay in with adhesive and my mental health is deteriorating. I live in my bed and I am about to give up. I have tried everything possible to help me to no avail. Contests, clinical trials, charities, foundations and there is just nothing out there for me. I have no one to turn to and have been fighting this alone and as much as I hate to go to this, I can’t see any other choice. So I am willing to be embarrassed by asking for help but I have 2 daughters who need their Mom ( they suffer from  my mental health issues as well) and a 2 year old pup who is my best friend. He just stays beside me and he deserves so much better but without Keeping your body moving it’s hard to at all. I am reaching out for any assistance that anyone may have for me because I’m at a loss. Thank you so much for listening and God Bless.
