Hello, my name is Sharon.

I am a mother and a survivor of two brain surgeries due to a brain tumor. The surgeries left me with nerve damage, vision issues, chronic pain, and mobility challenges. I use a walker if I have to stand or walk for more than 7 minutes.

After a fall, my doctor suggested I live with my son so I could get better care. My son is a young man serving in the U.S. military. He wanted me to be okay while he is away at his class because he knew I would be alone. Military pay at his rank is limited, and he cannot provide everything I need while he is gone.

I am currently enrolled in college, working hard toward a degree that will allow me to work from home and regain independence. Unfortunately, I was recently denied financial aid through the S.A.P. program due to the challenges I faced in understanding the class requirements and learning at my own pace. I am struggling to pay my tuition and continue my education.

I am raising funds to cover:

Rent and utilities

Transportation for doctor appointments and groceries

College tuition so I can continue working toward my degree

Basic living costs while I focus on my health and education

I don’t ask for help often, and I haven’t taken a vacation in over 20 years. Your support would give me peace of mind, stability, and a chance to focus on my health, education, and independence while my son is away serving our country.
