Hello everyone!

This August 2026, I have the incredible opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic as part of a volunteer nursing program. For 7 days, I’ll be working 12+ hour shifts alongside my other Nursing peers to provide care and education to underserved communities who often go without access to medical resources. During this trip, we’ll be administering vaccinations, distributing essential medications and supplies, and promoting disease prevention and hygiene education to help improve long-term community health. As a nursing student, this experience means more than just travel. This opportunity gives me the opportunity to apply my clinical skills I’ve acquired during this last year. From taking vital signs and providing wound care, to patient communication and health education, I’ll be putting my training into action to make a real difference in people’s lives.
