Hi, I’m Ginger, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my sister, Amy Rose — an incredible young woman who brings so much light and joy to everyone who knows her.
Amy has cerebral palsy and scoliosis and uses a wheelchair full-time. Amy functions as a 6-9 month old. She requires full-time care — something I’ve been honored to provide since 2010, after we lost both of our parents. Our dad passed away when Amy was just a baby, and our mom sadly passed away in 2009. After that, my husband Matt and I adopted Amy, and we’ve been navigating this journey together ever since.
One of the biggest challenges we now face is transportation. Our current wheelchair-accessible van is 22 years old, has over 260,000 miles, and is sadly falling apart. It’s no longer reliable or safe, and we’ve had to significantly limit where we can take Amy — sometimes missing out on important appointments, family visits, and just simple outings that bring her joy.
We’re raising funds to purchase a new wheelchair-accessible van so Amy can safely travel to doctor’s appointments, therapy sessions, community events, and simply enjoy more of the world around her — with comfort and dignity.
Amy deserves to experience life beyond the four walls of our home. A reliable van means more than just transportation — it means freedom, safety, inclusion, and connection.
If you can give — even a little — it would make a world of difference. If you can’t donate, sharing our story would help more than you know.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting Amy’s journey and helping us keep rolling forward — with love.
With gratitude,
Ginger and Matt
