My best friend, mother of 3, is in need of emergency surgery and while her insurance will cover 75% of the surgery, there isn't a specialist in network so she is unable to get the needed surgery. She has already been suffering for 6 long years with chronic debilitating back pain and pain in her knee all of which has now been confirmed as a direct result of a piece of plastic mesh a surgeon left in her body because he “lost it” during a hysterectomy in January 2019. She was told at that time not to worry about it & there was nothing that could be done. What he didnt tell her is that this will lead to all kinds of severe medical problems & while he isn't trained to find the mesh, their are specialists that specialize in mesh mapping, revision, and removal. At this point she also needs tissue repair and reconstructive surgery, She finally can be fixed and return to being able to walk again and being the wonderful active mother of 3 she used to be. If I raise enough money so she can pay for the specialist she is able to get the surgery. Right now she is unable to sit, walk, or stand. She is in a lot of pain and in a fragile condition. Suffering from stage 4 full prolapse of organs, an eroiding mesh anchored at her spine that is shredding like a cheese shredder her tissue, organs, and pelvic wall, and causing nerve impingement, blockage, and internal bleeding. It is stretched to maximum capacity and when it snaps she will have permanent nerve damage. She has three hernia. If an organ pushes through one it will cut off blood supply, and kill her in hours. Her intestines are kinked which can cause her to go septic and die. If she lays on one side it crushes her nerves on that side but if she flips to other side it crushes nerves on that side. Sitting up isn't an option due to the fallen organs and pelvic hernia, laying at 40° moves organs up for temp relief but then pushes on umbilical cord hernia, and laying flat puts the pressure on her hernia above the rib cage. She has an infection due to the eroiding mesh that if it gets into her blood stream can be fetal. Please help me raise the funds so she can get this surgery ASAP. Her husband isn't even able to work because he can't leave her as she constantly needs to be repositioned to avoid detrimental effects, she can't walk ro use bathroom alone and if she gets a fever or starts to feel nauseous she must be taken to ER IMMIADETLY or she will die.
