Beginning November 2022, I boldly faced stage 3 esophageal cancer head-on, completing an intense eight-week regimen of concurrent chemotherapy and radiation therapy, followed by a triumphant esophagectomy in July 2023. Post-surgical treatment has involved periodic throat reconstruction procedures every two to three months to reclaim solid food intake, alongside sustained feeding tube support for two years, while tackling complex challenges related to gastrointestinal health, bowel function, and access to medical care, demonstrating unwavering resilience in the face of accumulating substantial medical expenses over nearly three years.
