My grandmother Peggy Sunday (Bass), my heart, my best friend, finally passed on to a better place early this morning. She was admitted into the hospital on August 2nd, which also was her birthday, and sadly, never got to come home. She had pneumonia that progressed fast and she turned septic. Despite all efforts to beat the illness, the medicines were not working. She fought hard all week to try and breathe and fight this off to come home and go back to her simple life of drinking coffee and watching Good Morning America.

This hit us unexpectedly and of course, no one is ever prepared for the loss of a loved one, especially one that never lets anything bring them down. For a simple burial, the bare minimum starts at $5,500 and that’s with it being shaved down literally to a pine box without a service. We just want this amazing woman to have the burial she deserves. She gave her whole life to us and dedicated every day to taking care of children and making sure we all felt loved. She deserves to have a good funeral. Anything at all is greatly appreciated.
