Hey friends and family,
I wanted to share an update on my dad and also ask for a little bit of help on his behalf.
As many of you know, he was recently diagnosed with small-cell lung cancer. He has finished chemotherapy. In his usual way, he has faced this challenge with strength and determination. It inspires everyone around him. Recent scans show good news. The cancer is responding to treatment, and we are very grateful.
That said, the journey hasn’t been easy. Many of the side effects are still very much present. Dizziness, nausea, and pain are part of his day-to-day life right now. Even on tough days, he continues to push forward. He shows the same quiet strength and kindness as always.
I'll step in and say he needs help with daily tasks while he heals. He would never ask for this himself. Any support, big or small, helps lighten his load. Really we are just hoping to rally enough funds he can eat what he wants , pay for gas to get to the doctor, buy prescriptions and afford the simple things he could really use right now. Even if it involves a junior whopper and a coca cola. He is such an amazing dad and grandpa.
And as important, if you’re not in a position to donate, please reach out to him. A phone call, a message, or a quick check-in means more than you might realize. He lights up every single time he hears from a friend, and it brings him joy.
Thank you all for the love, support, and kindness you’ve shown him already. It means more to our family than we can put into words.
Please donate to comment.
