On May 17, 2023, my brother Alan and his wife Christine lost their baby daughter, Una Dominica Rose Gaskill. Born August 7, 2022, she was just over 9 months. Una brought joy to all around her with her huge smile, laughter, strong singing belt, and love of avocado and gardening. She adored music and recently began to clap along with her feet while in a happy baby pose. She is a little burst of love and light that touched all who knew her and will live eternally in our hearts. Her four older half-siblings, Heaven (8), Benji (6), Mercy (5) and Lily (3), mourn her, as do her grandparents Nancy, Chuck, Andy and Julia. Our little Bowie (3) was looking forward to Una and Chrissy coming to visit Connecticut in July. 
 

I am raising money to support the cost of Grief Counseling for Al and Christine for the next 12 months. Alan‘s current work in the Army unfortunately keeps him far away, so on top of the loss of their child, they also have to navigate this time while not physically together. I believe that with counseling and the love and support of their family and community, they will pull through.
