We are reaching out to you today to share the unexpected and challenging journey of Chloe, Ben, and their newborn son, Gunnar. Their story is one of resilience and love, but it's also a journey that requires our collective support.

Chloe, a Type 1 Diabetic and recently unemployed, along with her self-employed husband Ben, have faced an unplanned, high-risk pregnancy. Gunnar arrived 2.5 months early and is currently in the NICU, 100 miles away from their home. Chloe has started a blog to write about the journey in hopes to generate some revenue from that but otherwise can’t leave Gunnar for a job at this point.

**Challenges They Face:**

1. **Medical Expenses:** Gunnar's NICU stay is estimated to cost between $5,000 and $35,000 per day, totaling an overwhelming amount for the 75 days he needs care.

2. **Travel and Living Expenses:** Frequent 100-mile trips to the hospital and staying in Boise are draining their resources.

3. **Home and Personal Care:** With the focus on Gunnar, essential payments like mortgage and car, as well as basic needs like food and self-care for Chloe, are becoming unaffordable.

**Their Journey So Far:**

- Chloe had to be helicoptered to Boise for an emergency delivery.

- They are managing their situation with no local support network, having moved to start a new life just two years ago.

- The Ronald McDonald House has provided temporary housing, but the financial strain is immense.

• Ben has pulled 6 all nighters in the past 21 days trying to handle everything and going back and forth 100 miles just to see mom and Gunnar.

**Immediate Needs:**

- Funds to cover medical bills, travel expenses, and basic living costs.

- Support for animal care, enabling Ben to be with Chloe and Gunnar.

- Assistance with baby supplies and ongoing home maintenance.
