🧡 Help Support Cody Through Rare Cancer Treatment
In May 2025, my sweet nephew, Cody, received life-changing news: he was told he had a rare tumor called a Thymoma Type AB, Stage T1—a cancer that affects fewer than 100 people each year. The tumor was resting on his thymus gland, just above the heart and along the esophagus.
On May 28, Cody underwent major surgery to remove it. The tumor was successfully taken out, and his margins were clear—something we are incredibly grateful for. However, the margins weren’t quite as wide as doctors would prefer, which means there’s still a risk of recurrence.
What’s Next?
On June 24, he met with oncology specialists who explained that he may benefit from proton radiation therapy, due to the tumor’s location and its rare nature. While this isn’t yet a finalized treatment plan, it’s currently the strongest recommendation.
Cody has been referred to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas for further evaluation and planning. Cody be there the first week of July for testing, consultations, and to map out next steps. If radiation is confirmed, treatment could involve a longer stay or several return visits.
Cody has been out of work since mid-May and does not have a return date yet. While he has been blessed with some support from his workplace and church community, the costs of travel, lodging, uncovered medical expenses, and daily needs are starting to add up.
This fundraiser will help cover:
    •    Travel and lodging for treatment in Texas
    •    Medical expenses not fully covered by insurance
    •    Basic living expenses while out of work
    •    Physical therapy and continued recovery
Other Ways to Give
For anyone local who prefers to donate in person:
You can stop by Chase Bank in Corydon and let a teller know you’d like to make a donation to cody‘s account ending in 0987. They can accept checks or cards there—cash isn’t preferred.
This has been a hard season for both Cody and Tyler. They are always there for others in their time of need and I would love nothing more to show them the love & support in return.Â

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every prayer, donation, share, and word of encouragement.Â
