About this fundraiser

Hello, my name is Deborah and I am 59 years old. In May of this year, the vehicle that I owned with only 130,000 miles had a transmission failure. I could not afford to pay for the repairs, and the vehicle was inoperative. It was a Friday afternoon when the vehicle broke down on my way back from lunch, returning to work. I made it to the parking lot and that was it. I had it towed to my mechanic who told me the cost to repair and I could not afford it.

I had to get to work on Monday and contemplated taking Uber. After researching how much it would cost to take Uber round trip, I knew I could not afford $80 a day to get to work and back. Monday morning came and I ended up taking the day off and taking Uber to the Ford Store in Morgan Hill, where I live. I need a vehicle to get to work, and my credit score is not the best. I ended up purchasing a vehicle at a 26% interest rate because I was desperate. The vehicle was $21,000. The loan is for 6 years at 26% interest and after I pay it off, I will have ended up paying $25,000 in interest which is approximately $46,000 total for the vehicle that is currently only worth $20,000.

The good news is I was approved for refinancing through my credit union at a rate of 15% and will only be paying for 4 years at a total of $29,000. The problem I am having is that the current pay-off for the current 26% loan is $2,600 more than what my credit union has approved me for. I am desperately asking your help to fund me $2,000 so that I can get out of this awful loan. The longer it takes me to raise the money, the vehicle loses value and the approved loan amount drops. Currently, the first two payments I have made all went to interest.

Please, I really need your help getting out of this loan. I try to help people whenever I can and now I am asking for help, please. I will forever be grateful and this is the first time I have asked for help in my life. I am one to help others when I can. Thank you so much for considering helping me.
