About this fundraiser

Patrick is an 18 year old boy who found out his kidneys are completely failing a couple of weeks before graduating high school in May ‘25.
He was faced with making the choice to fight by choosing dialysis, or to receive hospice care and pass with the end of suffering in sight. “Ducky” chose to fight this beast and try to get a kidney transplant. He is a ways off on the workup for transplant. It takes time, but his Momma is working hard to get this moving as quickly as possible. Ducky is looking at multiple surgeries in coming weeks and months to receive treatment. He is autistic, so his mom will need to be by his side for all of his appointments and his 4 hour treatments 3 times every week. Ducky also has 2 sisters who primarily live with him and their Mom. Unfortunately, both girls have some health issues as well. One sister has severe asthma and requires regular visits to the pulmonologist. She also gets allergy shots twice a week along with biologic shots every other week to manage her asthma. The other sister has a heart condition and most recently has visited the Shriners hospital in South Carolina for testing and may need surgery on her knees for a deformity that was just discovered in both patella’s after she suffered with pain and swelling for many months.
Their Mom has a small car which is difficult for Ducky to get in and out of it. It has over 200,000 miles, so that will need to be replaced at some point.

Let’s help this Momma take care of all 3 of her kids without the worry of financial burdens so she can focus on their health and needs.
