Rallying Around Scott
For over nine and a half years, Scott has courageously battled Stage 4 cancer with extraordinary courage, faith, and determination. He never once let it stop him from showing up for his family, his friends or his community. Scott always said, “There are a lot of people worse off than me.”
He continued serving his church faithfully, helping keep it strong through the challenges of the pandemic. And in the midst of his own fight, he founded Dartmouth United Outreach, an organization that has helped thousands of families facing food insecurity. When seniors in our community were struggling during COVID, Scott stepped up and created a mission to make sure they didn’t go hungry.
That’s who Scott is.
He shows up.
He gives.
He leads with heart.
Today, Scott’s health journey has taken a devastating turn. His doctors have diagnosed him with either Lewy Body Dementia or a very similar neuro degenerative disease. Scott now requires 24/7 care. The physical, emotional, and financial toll on his family is immense. The out-of-pocket expenses for round-the-clock care, medical support, and necessary accommodations are overwhelming.
Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
Scott has spent his life lifting others up. He has fed the hungry, strengthened his church, supported his community, and loved his family fiercely through it all. We are asking friends, family, and all those whose lives he has touched to rally around him during this incredibly difficult chapter.
Every donation — no matter the size — will go directly toward helping cover the extensive care and medical expenses required to support Scott with dignity and comfort.
If you are able to give, please do.
If you are not able to give financially, please share this page and keep Scott and his family in your prayers.
Let’s surround Scott with the same love, generosity, and strength that he has shown to so many of us.
It’s our time to carry him.
