Helping Jonny Through a Difficult Transition

Not long ago, I had the good fortune of meeting Jonny when he answered my ad for a handyman. He’s helped me with several projects around the house that I can no longer do myself due to spinal issues. Jonny is a dedicated and diligent worker with an incredible work ethic.

Unfortunately, Jonny is now facing some serious challenges and is at risk of becoming homeless.

For the past 15 years, Jonny has cared for his mother, who bravely battled multiple debilitating health conditions, including lifelong polio, spinal disease, diabetes, and eventually cancer. After her recent passing, Jonny finds himself in a difficult position. His life was centered around caring for her, and now, with her gone, he’s facing eviction and a broken truck, leaving him without stable shelter. Though he has been doing handyman work whenever possible, he and his mother relied on SSI and other assistance to get by.

Asking for help is not something Jonny would do for himself, but he’s at a point where he truly needs support to get back on his feet and avoid homelessness. That’s why I’m reaching out on his behalf—right now, even a small contribution from friends, family, and compassionate individuals can help him regain stability.
