My daughter Julia is 6 years old.

Julia is a sweet, bright, loving little girl who brings light to everyone around her. Recently, I received the devastating news that Julia has been diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) — a rare and terminal childhood brain tumor.

Her doctors have told me that her time is limited, and that we may have around six months. While treatment focuses on comfort and quality of life, there is no cure.

My heart is breaking, but my goal is to give her as much joy, love, and normal childhood happiness as possible during the time we have left together.

I created this fundraiser after many people asked how they could help. Donations will go toward:

• Covering medical and palliative care needs. Managing pain and symptoms. 
• Comfort and care for Julia; creating meaningful moments and experiences for her, so she can enjoy her remaining time.
