Yesterday, I met the sweetest family ever and asked them if they wanted $500 for themselves or would rather surprise someone in the store with it. They chose to bless a mail carrier lady, and she wept with joy. I then asked the daughter what their family’s dream would be for Christmas, and she immediately started to cry. She told me that their mom had passed away 3 years ago, and it’s been hard to take care of their little brother because of his disabilities.

Because they don’t have a wheelchair-accessible vehicle and their dad is getting older, he struggles to move and take Jacob places. Their dad also struggles to provide for their family as he fixes airplane parts for a living. Along with having to be mom and dad to Jacob, who is now 12 years old and is too heavy for his father to lift him in and out of their little car.

Their dream would be to get a wheelchair-accessible van so that Jacob could experience more things kids his age would do.
