Help Me & My Dog Escape Trafficking and Finally Be Safe
I’m 24 years old, and for the past four years, I have been running from danger and trying to escape being trafficked.
When I graduated, my life looked completely different. I had been accepted into 5–6 colleges and earned 6–8 years of scholarships. I had worked hard. I had dreams. I had a future.
Then my father was diagnosed with cancer.
I stayed home to take care of him. He was my only real family. In 2023, I held him in my arms as he bled out and passed away. Losing him shattered my world. After he died, I had no one left. No family. No support. No safety net.
That’s when everything became dangerous.
Since then, I’ve been trapped in the streets, constantly trying to avoid situations tied to trafficking and exploitation. I’ve had to move over and over to stay safe. The little I own keeps getting stolen. Every time I try to start over, I lose everything again.
I am exhausted from running.
Through all of this, my 4½-year-old dog has stayed by my side. He is my heart. He is my only family. When I feel afraid, he reminds me I still have love in my life. I refuse to abandon him, and I’m fighting for a safe life for both of us.
I’m asking for help so I can:
Secure immediate safe housing
Escape environments connected to trafficking and exploitation
Replace essential belongings that have been stolen
Get reliable transportation to relocate safely
Begin rebuilding my life and working toward school or stable employment
I don’t want to live in survival mode anymore.
I don’t want to keep running.
I don’t want to be afraid.
I had a future once. I believe I can build one again — but I can’t do it alone.
If you can donate, share, or even pray for me, you are helping me and my dog move one step closer to safety and freedom.
This is my fight to break free.
