In September, our mother was involved in a terrifying 5-car collision caused by a teenager recklessly driving their parent's vehicle. The teen, whose parent is in the Coast Guard, directly struck the left part of the car, damaging the car, leaving it unusable and sending her to urgent care.

She passed out in the ambulance, and doctors later confirmed she had suffered a concussion and trauma to the head. Since the accident, she has been undergoing ongoing physical therapy and relies on regular medication to manage the effects of the injury.

Despite the seriousness of the crash, the insurance situation has been complicated due to the involvement of a military family and so far, we’ve been left to cover everything out of pocket.

Our mom is one of the hardest-working people we know. She doesn’t believe in asking for money unless it’s earned — but right now, we’re facing bills we simply can’t cover on our own. We're behind on payments for her medical care and trying to keep up with the costs of her therapy, prescriptions, and day-to-day recovery.
