About this fundraiser

I am starting this “fundrazr” page to to help save a rescued dog that came to the veterinary clinic I work for. One of our clients, Mr. Dino, who owns the ice cream shop next to the clinic, found a female Rottweiler abandoned on the side of the road in very poor condition and in a lot of pain . Mr. Dino took the dog home and named her Bina, after the Day of the Dead celebration. Mr. Dino, being a very caring person, brought Bina to the clinic first thing Friday morning, for Dr. Arian to check her out. Bina was in a lot of pain so Dr. A had to sedate her to access her wounds. We started to shave her hair to better see her wounds (which at first they believed was road rash), they noticed the hair and skin was peeling off over large patches of her body. This is not a case of road rash or her being hit by a car, this is a case of animal cruelty. Dr. Arian believes she had a large amount of boiling liquid, probably water, dumped on her. She is burned over 70% of her body. We are so glad Mr. Dino decided to rescue Bina off the side of the road and seek treatment. He comes to visit her at least twice a day and looks forward to the day he can take her home, but understands she still has a long and difficult recovery. Her treatment is going to be costly. She will likely need to stay at the clinic in our care for 3-4 more weeks. Mr. Dino has already spent over $500 of his own money to save this poor, sweet dog. He understands the severity of her condition needs expensive treatment.

Dr.Arian has her on pain management medicines and injectable antibiotics. She will need to be anesthetized to have her skin and wounds cleaned every other day. She will need to have bloodwork done again to make sure her liver and kidney functions are remaining stable. She has started eating and drinking on her own and has gone for a few walks. She loves to haveher chin and head rubbed (these are two of the few places she still has skin and fur). She has been very trusting with Dr. A. She knows we are helping to get her better. She has a long way to go, but I believe she is going to make it.
