Imagine you are on your couch, resting after a long drive (1hour) through heavy traffic. You get a knock on the door, and a guy asks, “Is so and so home? And you say, “I’m so and so.” Gotcha… you are now served with a summons from a debt collector.

This is the most embarrassing thing a person can endure.

Life happens, and no one enjoys dealing with legal matters.

But in my experience, it has ignited a combat-tactical legal approach to defending people under consumer law. I plan to take a consumer law program through a law firm to help people with legal matters.

After completing the consumer law program, I will help clients fight debt collectors, auto fraud, illegal car repossessions, and evictions, and offer litigation-backed credit repair.

I vowed never to let this happen again because of my lack of legal knowledge. As a result, often, people have allowed debt collectors to bully and intimidate them. Debt collectors’ summons has caused people stress, anxiety, and financial hardship.

Not only that, but debt collectors have won a vast number of default judgment cases because people failed to respond to a summons. For instance, according to the Pew Charitable Trust, “The vast majority of debt collection cases end in default judgments, sometimes exceeding 90% in Florida.”

I’m not asking supporters to pay my alleged debt, but to fund my legal defense and determination to learn consumer law. The Word of God declares that knowledge and wisdom are a defense (Ecclesiastes 7:12).

Therefore, I desire to defend people in consumer law who don’t know their rights. Choosing consumer law as a profession will amplify my research abilities. I will challenge, defend, and represent clients affected by debt collectors’ summonses.

Currently, I’m being sued by a debt collector, and my lawyer is representing me. However, no matter the outcome, my fighting spirit has risen, and I’m ready to battle debt collectors and other legal matters on behalf of people.
