Someone close to me in my network has been going through a really tough stretch. She’s been out of work for some time, picking up side jobs and doing everything she can to stay afloat — all while interviewing for roles that she successfully did at one company for over 15 years. Unfortunately, the hits just keep coming.

Her adult child was deployed last week.

Two weeks ago, she went in for a routine mammogram — and received news no one ever wants to hear. She has breast cancer and needs surgery on April 15th.

She has no idea I’m doing this, but I know there are so many generous, caring people in this community. My hope is that we can help ease some of the financial stress around bills and medical expenses so she can focus on her health and her family.
