Hello, friends. I'm sponsoring this fundraiser to gather emergency housing funds for my friends, Ken and Melissa. They're great people who have fallen on hard times, and employment is proving elusive. To make matters worse, their landlord declined to renew their lease, and now they have nowhere to go but the streets of LA. They have contacted shelters and other resources in the area, but there is a waiting list and red tape everywhere they go. They're doing their best, but as we all know, the streets aren't safe. My partner and I are unable to house them, but there is a nearby AirBnB that only charges $40/night. This fundraiser is to get them indoors in a safe location while they wait for space at a shelter to open up.
