Thassa is our 4-legged baby and will soon be 9 years old on March 25. She is a wonderful dog, very loving to us, our 4-year-old daughter and the 6 cats we have in our house.
A month ago, after an accident, we did an ultrasound and found that half of her thyroid was very swollen. We did several punctures, the thyroid and around some lumps on her skin and one of the lumps was a skin and thyroid tumor that did not go away twice. We did a CT scan (pictured in the photo) and this tumor was in her throat. We went to the oncologist and she recommended treatment with Palladia for 4 months, surgery and then chemotherapy. There is no radiotherapy center in Romania, so we emailed a center in Poland and a center in Slovenia. After these centers reviewed the CT, the center in Slovenia recommended surgery and the center in Poland gave us 2 treatment plans, one was $4600 and the other was $6000
Ultrasound, vet appointment, analysis sent to Germany, CT scans so far about $2000. Treatment for Palladia is about $700 a month for her weight.
I am a College Assistant, Cat Student Examiner and my husband is a Sound Engineer and we have a 4 year old daughter. I am so scared that we will not be able to pursue the best treatment for Thassa due to lack of financial means. I have lost all will to do anything myself, even grocery shopping has become a pain.
It is a terrible thing to ask but please help us help our baby!
I promise that any money left over will be donated to a charity in my country
I do a lot of volunteer work with orphaned kittens, Thassa has been a blood donor, any money that can help us is greatly appreciated!
