About this fundraiser

I am reaching out to share my story and ask for help. In January I ruptured a tendon and pulled the ligaments in my right foot , which led to wearing a boot for six weeks to help reduce the swelling enough to have surgery to repair tendon and tighten and a anchor the ligaments to my bone so I could eventually walk again. Complications arose following the initial surgery, and I developed a serious infection in my incision that wasn’t improving with aggressive antibiotics. and wound care. This forced me to have a second surgery two weeks post-opt to surgically clean my wound and remove the infected tissue. The following day I was admitted to Hospital for sepsis and norovirus, further complicating my recovery. Weight bearing was further delayed to allow for my wound to heal properly.

It has been difficult journey over last several weeks. I was completely non weight bearing for 8 weeks,, and unable to work, and had to pay for recovery related expenses out of pocket. Although I recently returned to work on a light-duty schedule, the financial burden of medical expenses and lost wages, has taken a toll on me and my family.

I am reaching out to ask for your help. Any donations would be a blessing, and would greatly alleviate the financial strain I am currently facing and allow me to focus on my recovery.

I deeply appreciate your consideration and support during this difficult time.
