I have been searching for the perfect bird for a few weeks now. I’ve had a few birds when I was young, so I do know all the things they need and will require. I have already acquired a cage, and all the supplies I need are sitting in my Amazon cart waiting to be purchased for when I know he’s coming home. That will come out of my own money. I did not have any intentions of getting a bird from Petco or PetSmart due to them coming from a breeding farm, and many are not hand-tame. I walked into Petco Wednesday afternoon to look for a fish for my mother and walked to the bird aisle just because… and the bird pictured caught my attention by following me and rubbing on the side of the glass. I began speaking to him, and he made me laugh with all his silly moves. He was definitely trying to impress me. This is the first real connection I’ve felt with a bird so far.  My only goal is to try and raise some money to help me get him. Yes, I know vet bills are high and maintenance is high as well, and I can afford those things. Just seeing if anybody would be kind enough to help get him home.
