Last year after 4 years of faithfully paying our rent on time every month, knowing we couldn't afford it, our landlord gave us a notice to quit one year sooner than we told her we needed in order to save to buy a house. It was an act of retaliation for citing landlord tenant law after 4 years of her neglecting her landlord duties, and lying to her family about it. We were forced to apply for a VA loan for a mortgage in my husband's name because we couldn't find a rental that didn't have rent as high as a mortgage would be. We were promised by people who were supposed to live with us they would help with the mortgage and bills. One just flat out lied and bailed right after we closed. The other two lied about being clean and used us until I couldn't give them any of their rent money back every month for phone cards, cigarettes and whatever their drug of choice is. Social Security disability dropped my monthly amount without warning, and kept half of that the first month after the reduction. I have tried to go back to work, but the aftermath of the treatments and surgeries are still giving me problems. My husband does have a pretty good job, but it isn't covering everything and we are dangerously close to losing everything, because medically, I cannot go back to work, and my attempts to make money online have not worked because I can't afford marketing and none of my friends and followers on social media have bothered to try to help me share my posts about what I'm trying to sell. We just need help with what we were originally promised to get caught up, then we will be able to maintain. We haven't been able to maintain so far because we had to dole out what others promised they would pay. I even got hired at a McDonald's only to be blown off by the manager who was supposed to call me and tell me when I was put on the schedule. She never did, so my entire employment there was 2 days of no call no shows, and a text from another manager telling me so. My 16 year old daughter is on the spectrum. My husband is a veteran who works 40 hours a week, then comes home and takes care of me because of my health issues. Please help us keep our house.
