Hey everyone! I know the holidays are here, and I hate asking for help, but I’m out of options and the pain has gotten too severe to keep pushing through. What started back in May as a $4k quote turned into a nightmare—an unprofessional dental office suddenly claimed they were out of network and raised the cost to $10k. I’ve filed a complaint with the state dental board because their actions caused months of delays and left me needing to start over with a trustworthy oral surgeon.
After finding a new dentist and paying out of pocket just to be seen, I finally got to an oral surgeon and now have a real treatment plan. I need all my infected and broken wisdom teeth removed, plus six others that failed because of them. I’ll eventually need four implants, but at this point I’d rather eat oatmeal forever than keep living in nonstop pain. I’ve lost almost 30 pounds because I can barely chew, and I can’t take more antibiotics due to other medication I’m on.
Even after paying off a $13k auto loan that went to collections eight months ago, my credit score didn’t go up at all—I can’t get approved for any new credit besides a card with under a $1k limit. Troy’s disability income covers rent, and my income covers utilities and food, but there’s rarely anything left to save. He was pre-approved for $2,700 in CareCredit, but as of today he isn’t pre-approved anymore. We’re hoping paying down some of his debt will boost his score enough to qualify again, but right now we just don’t know.
I know it's tough for everyone to make ends meet right now, and we don't see it getting easier anytime soon, so I’m trying everything, asking friends, family and neighbors, and any help at all would mean more than I can say. Thank you ❤️
